Add the Chat Widget to Your Squarespace Site
This guide shows you how to embed the CatchWhen chat widget into your Squarespace site. You'll add the embed code using an Embed block in the page editor. No plugins required.
Copy your CatchWhen embed code
Navigate to your Dashboard page and click the Install tab in the left menu. You'll see a code snippet on the screen. Click the Copy button.
Go to Website
Log in to your Squarespace account and open your site. In the left sidebar menu, click Website.
Click Edit
On the Website page, click the Edit button at the top left to open the page editor.
Add a block
In the editor, click the + Add Block button on the left side of the page.
Select Embed
Scroll down through the block options and find the Embed option under the Code section. Click on it to add an Embed block.
Open the code snippet editor
Double-click the Embed block to open the content panel. Select the Code Snippet tab, then click the Embed data field to open the code editor.
Paste your code and save
Paste the embed code you copied in Step 1 into the code editor field. Then click the Save button at the top left corner of the page. The chat widget will now appear on your Squarespace site.
Customizing Your Website Agent
You can customize the appearance of your Website Agent on the CatchWhen dashboard. Click the tab in the left menu to reveal the appearance and chat interface options.
